Katarina Halle  (60 sq m)

In 1845 alderman Diedrich Ferdinand Riesenkamf established his summer mansion in the area between Tallinn and Kadriorg Palace. The mansion was used for resting and entertaining guests.

Due to the construction of the imperial palace and park, the former Fonne valley was renamed in honor of the wife of Peter I as Katerinenthal. In order to express respect to the imperial power, D. F. Riesenkampf renamed one of the summer mansion halls Katarina Halle.

It was a place where celebrations, official receptions and lounge evenings took place where the elite of the 19th century Tallinn would glitter.
